What we shoot.

Factum Aerial photographs and films property from the air for developers, agents, owners and asset managers. The work covers commercial and industrial sites, development land, residential listings and acreage and rural holdings. Based in Newcastle. Servicing Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Hunter, Port Stephens, Sydney and regional NSW by arrangement.

Developers and agents receive edited high-resolution stills, a short edited video and context shots that place the property in its street and surrounds. Files are supplied ready for listing portals, print and social media, and named for the campaign.

Edited high-resolution stills, supplied as JPEG with RAW on request.

Process

How a shoot runs.

Brief

A short conversation covers the property, the campaign, the shots required and the timing. We respond to every enquiry within one business day. The quote follows from that brief.

Planning

We check the site, the surrounding properties, the airspace and the weather window, then confirm a shoot time with the agent or vendor.

Shoot

We fly the shot list agreed in the brief and capture stills and video from each planned position. Interior access is not required and the agent does not need to attend.

Edit and delivery

Stills are colour-corrected and straightened, video is cut to length, and files are delivered by download link. Stills are typically delivered within two business days; video within five.

Limits.

Flights are planned around the site, the airspace and the weather. Shots are framed on the subject property, and neighbouring homes appear only as street context. Where the location or the timing limits what can be flown, the shot list is adjusted at the planning stage.

Does the agent or vendor need to be on site?

No. Interior access is not required and the flight is conducted from a position agreed in advance. We confirm the shoot time with the agent beforehand so the property is presented as intended.

Are the raw files supplied?

Yes. Stills are delivered as edited JPEGs, with RAW files supplied on request. Raw video footage is also available on request alongside the edited cut.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

Flights depend on wind, rain and cloud. Conditions are checked the evening before and again on the morning of the shoot. If they are unsuitable on the day, we reschedule to the next workable window and let the agent know as early as possible.

How is the work priced?

Every job is scoped and quoted after a short conversation about the property, the shots required and the timing. There are no packages or fixed rates. The quote covers the flight, the edit and delivery of the files.
