Services

Seven services, one way of working.

A drone operator for hire across Newcastle and the Hunter. Construction progress, inspections, mapping and incident documentation lead the work, alongside aerial photography, property marketing and events. Each service is scoped and quoted after a short conversation, and we respond to every enquiry within one business day.

01

Construction Progress & Site Documentation

Scheduled flights that record a site from the same positions at set intervals, from clearing through to completion. We fix the camera positions, heights and headings on the first visit and repeat them on every return so each image lines up with the last. Intervals are weekly, fortnightly or monthly, or tied to milestones.

You receive a dated progress series shot from repeatable positions, with general site stills and short video on request. Images are organised by date and position so each visit can be compared with the last. A set is delivered after every visit.

  • Progress claims and client reporting
  • Site establishment and earthworks records
  • Milestone documentation
  • Stockpile and laydown area records
  • Handover and completion imagery

02

Roof & Asset Inspections

Close visual inspection of roofs, gutters, facades, towers, solar arrays and other high or hard-to-reach structures. We fly a methodical pattern over the asset and capture every face and surface at high resolution, with detail shots of anything that warrants a closer look.

You receive an inspection image set with annotations marking the areas of interest, organised by their location on the structure. The set is a visual record for the owner, assessor, engineer or trade; it does not replace a professional inspection or engineering assessment.

  • Roof condition and storm damage records
  • Gutter, flashing and skylight checks
  • Solar panel and rooftop plant records
  • Facade and high-level building fabric
  • Pre-purchase and pre-lease records

03

Mapping & Orthomosaics

Flights flown in overlapping grids to produce orthomosaic maps and 3D models of sites, land and assets. We plan the grid, height and overlap to suit the area and the detail required.

You receive a georeferenced orthomosaic, a 3D model where requested, and exports in common formats for use in your own software. Outputs are for planning, monitoring and visual measurement; they are not a cadastral or registered survey.

  • Site planning and design overlays
  • Stockpile and earthworks monitoring
  • Vegetation and land condition monitoring
  • Development application imagery
  • Asset and estate overviews

04

Insurance & Incident Documentation

An aerial record of damage, incidents and site conditions for owners, insurers, assessors and legal representatives. We photograph the scene from directly above and at an angle, with context shots of the surroundings and detail shots of the damage, and record the date, time and position of every image. Factum Aerial is the aerial arm of the Factum group, alongside Factum Investigations, licensed private investigators based in Newcastle.

You receive a dated and organised image set with annotations marking the areas of damage, with original files supplied alongside. Short video is available where the extent of the damage is clearer in motion.

  • Storm, hail and flood damage
  • Fire-affected property and land
  • Site and vehicle incidents
  • Boundary, tree and neighbouring property disputes
  • Pre-works and post-works condition records

Aerial Photography & Video

Stills and video shot from the air for businesses, agencies and private clients. We work from a shot list agreed with you beforehand, with angles, height and time of day set in advance, then fly it as planned. Subjects range from a single building to a stretch of coastline.

You receive edited high-resolution stills as JPEG, with RAW files on request, and edited video cut to your brief. Image and video quality, formats and outputs are discussed and agreed at the quote stage. Stills are typically delivered within two business days; video within five.

  • Business premises and facilities
  • Coastal, rural and landscape imagery
  • Brand and website content
  • Tourism and hospitality venues
  • Editorial and publication imagery

06

Real Estate & Property Marketing

Aerial stills and video for commercial and industrial property, development sites, residential listings and rural property. We shoot the property in context: the site, its aspect, the street and what lies around it. Shoots are booked with the agent or developer and timed for the light.

You receive edited stills sized for portals, print and social, and a short video for the listing page. Files are named and ready to load into your campaign.

  • Commercial and industrial property
  • Development sites and land releases
  • Residential listings
  • Rural and lifestyle property
  • Holiday rentals and accommodation

07

Events

Aerial coverage of outdoor events: festivals, sporting fixtures, openings and community days. We capture the scale of the event, the venue and its setting, and work with the organiser on timing so the flight fits the running order. We do not fly over crowds, guests or spectators, and we photograph and film events from positions clear of the gathering itself, with camera positions agreed with you beforehand.

You receive edited stills and video of the event and its setting, cut to lengths that suit social, sponsors and post-event reporting. Raw footage is available on request.

  • Festivals and community events
  • Sporting fixtures and regattas
  • Openings and ceremonies
  • Markets and outdoor exhibitions
  • Venue and setting imagery for promotion

How We Fly

How we fly.

Every flight is planned in advance around the site, the airspace and the weather. We watch the forecast in the days before a job, confirm the day before and check again on the morning, and if wind, rain or light will not give a usable result, we reschedule. The plan is agreed with you before we arrive.

Our pilots hold licences issued by CASA.
